The Strategic Pivot Method

For those who know they've outgrown the role but can't see what's next

The Strategic Pivot Method. A 4-month 1:1 partnership for senior professionals ready

to translate what they've built, regulate the move, and plan the finances to make it safe.

You've built the career. The title, the comp, the team, the calendar full of people who need something from you. And privately, you're not sure you can do another year of it.

The hardest part is that you don't even fully recognize the depletion. You've been running this hot for so long it just feels like work.

You're either staring at too many possible next moves and can't pick one. Or you've been at the same company so long that translating outside it feels impossible. Your network is internal. Your reputation is internal. The story of what you've built is told in acronyms only your team understands.

You are your company's best-kept secret. And you can't tell anymore if that's a compliment or a cage.

You've been thinking about a move for a year. Maybe three. Every quarter you tell yourself it's not so bad. Then Sunday hits.

The gap between what you've built and what you can name keeps you here.

What is another year of staying costing you?

The current paycheck is the part keeping you here. The cost is everything that paycheck is masking.

The next role's comp you can't see clearly enough to go for. The promotion that went to someone who could name their impact. The equity cycle you under-negotiated because you couldn't articulate your value. The role you didn't apply for because you couldn't see past the exhaustion.

Then the costs that don't show up on a paystub. Your sleep. Your relationships. The version of you your family stopped expecting to come home.

The number on a future job offer is the smallest part of this. The bigger number is what staying is costing your career, your health, and your time.

There's a question I ask every leader on a discovery call. Can you afford another year of this?

Most go quiet. That quiet is the work.

"Before coaching, I was drained, stuck in an unfulfilling job, overwhelmed by self-doubt, and unable to be fully present with my family or friends. I was just surviving each workday. This experience didn't just help me leave a job. It helped me reclaim my joy. It transformed my life from one of burnout and fear to one of living with presence and purpose."

Introducing The Strategic Pivot Method

A 4-month 1:1 partnership built on four pillars that actually move the needle. Nervous system regulation. Strategic career and business mapping. Financial Freedom Planning. Decision frameworks built for you.

You'll leave knowing what energizes you and what to walk toward. Specifically, not vaguely. You'll have your real value translated into language that gets you paid for it. You'll have a financial plan with real numbers, not a vague hope. And you'll have a regulated baseline that lets you negotiate, lead, and decide from a settled place.

This is the same work that's helped clients land $14K to $50K+ income increases in year one. Some see $50K to $100K+ shifts. The compounding return is the rest of your career.

Three doors. Same work.

Whatever the destination, the pivot itself is the same.

Regulate. Translate. Plan. From that ground, the right move becomes visible.

The Corporate Pivot

A new role, a new industry, or a level-up inside the right company. With the language, the negotiation prep, and the financial floor that make it a strategic decision instead of a hopeful one.

The Founder Pivot

Leaving corporate to build the thing of your own. With a real runway, a defensible offer, and the regulation work that lets you build from clarity instead of urgency. Get more details on the [Business Advising page →].

The Parallel Pivot

Staying in corporate while quietly building what's next, alongside the salary that funds it. The most common path for senior professionals who need stability now and freedom later.

You don't have to know which door is yours when you walk in. Most of my clients don't.

How We Do It?

First 30 Days: Regulate & Get Specific

The reason you can't see your next move isn't a strategic one. It's physiological. A depleted nervous system narrows what feels possible. We start there.

  • Understanding any level of burnout and crafting a burnout recovery blueprint unique to you

  • Nervous system baseline and regulation rituals you actually use to get grounded and confident

  • Capacity Mapping to find where your energy is leaking, and create boundaries people actually respect

  • Specificity work on what fuels you, what depletes you, and the role criteria that fall out of that

  • The vast field of "what could be next" narrowed to the three to five paths worth your time

You can't strategize your way out of exhaustion. You can only regulate your way to seeing options clearly.

Days 30 to 60: Translate and Position

This is the part most career coaching skips. You've built impact. You can't name it. That gap is the reason you're leaving tens of thousands of dollars on the table every interview, review, and equity conversation.

  • The RIIO framework applied to your actual career: Revenue, Impact, Influence, Outcome

  • Resume, LinkedIn, and storytelling rebuilt in impact language, not task language

  • Interview and negotiation prep that holds up in real conversations with senior people

  • Personal brand and visibility plan for LinkedIn and beyond (if you want one)

Why it Matters: The gap between what you've done and how you talk about it is the most expensive sentence in your career.

Days 60 & Beyond: Map the Move and the Runway

The third reason your nervous system won't let you make a leap it doesn't believe is safe. We make it safe with numbers.

  • Financial Freedom Planning, including a custom dashboard with what you need to earn, save, or bridge

  • Decision framework for a corporate pivot, mission-aligned role, or eventual business build, with math for each

  • Exit timing if leaving sooner makes financial sense

  • Post-move integration so you don't land in another role that depletes you

Clarity without a financial floor is just another anxiety. Clarity with a runway is freedom.

"When I started working with Elizabeth, I was immobilized with fear and unable to move forward. She quickly helped me embrace my fears and level up. I would highly recommend her coaching if you are feeling stuck or stagnant in an area of your life."

On the other side of this work

You wake up on a Sunday and don't dread Monday. The version of you that walks into work isn't running on cortisol and caffeine.

You walk into a high-stakes conversation. An interview, a board pitch, a negotiation. You stand in your value without rehearsing it twelve times in your head. You know what you've built. You can name it. The room responds to that.

When an opportunity lands in your inbox, you know within thirty seconds. Aligned or noise. You stop dragging decisions for three weeks, waiting to feel safe enough to say yes.

Your partner notices. Your kids notice. The friends who stopped reaching out start hearing from you again. You stop being the leftover version of yourself at home. You're back to being the version that built the career in the first place.

And the next move isn't a guess. It's a decision you made on purpose, with a runway under it.

"I am more calmly confident in my career path, when before I was stuck and unfulfilled. I am in a new role that I enjoy and value, and I am not second-guessing it. She has a process that works. Do the work and trust it. You won't regret taking the leap."

Why I Do This Work?

I started in tech at 23, making $25K. Eight years later I was at $300K+ as a Global Director at HubSpot, after stops at Leap Motion and a couple of startups.

I'd built a very specialized career. Developer programs, app store ecosystems, partner communities across 180+ countries. When I started, I was one of maybe ten people in the world doing the work I did.

It was also the thing that almost trapped me.

When I started thinking about leaving, I was terrified my experience wouldn't translate. I'd painted myself into a corner with depth. I couldn't imagine what came next.

And the cost of staying was no longer a number I could ignore. At the height of my corporate career, I needed a $300K job to afford the $100K a year I was spending on medical bills from the stress. The math didn't work. I was too deep in it to see it.

So I did what I now help my clients do. I regulated first. Then I got specific.

When I sat with what I'd actually built, I realized something. I'd networked my way into every job I'd ever had. I'd spent two decades helping people see their value and translate it into career moves. I'd mentored everyone I worked with, whether on my teams or as a professor. I had a list of adjacent skills as long as my resume. I just hadn't named any of it.

The thing I was most afraid I'd lose, the depth, was the asset. Pair depth with breadth and you get T-shaped. Reframe a "narrow" career and it becomes irreplaceable.

And the coaching I thought I was pivoting into? That was the work I'd been doing all along, by a different name.

Your title is borrowed. Your experience and skills are your own.

This isn't theoretical work for me. I lived it. Then I built the path I wish I'd had.

Real Results

One client came in successful on paper, well-respected, unable to name what he'd actually built. Within months of working together, he landed a $50K base salary increase plus $10K in additional benefits. That's $60K in year one. That delta compounds for the rest of his career.

Another client used the regulation work before pitching her board at a Fortune 500. She built a ritual to walk in grounded instead of performing. Her CEO and every board member complimented her presentation directly afterward.

A third used the financial dashboard to map her exit from a role that was eroding her health. She walked into negotiations knowing exactly what she needed. She walked out with it.

Who this is for

  • You're senior, accomplished, and at a fork. The path forward is either too crowded with options or too narrow to translate.

  • You've been thinking about a move for at least a year and the
    thinking isn't moving.

  • You're done outsourcing your career strategy to recruiters, your boss, or your current company's growth path.

  • You have the salary and you're losing more in health, time, and missed equity than you're saving by staying.

  • You're ready to look at the nervous system, the financial picture, and the storytelling, not just the resume.

Who this is not for

  • You want someone to tell you what to do or make the decision for you.

  • You want a 30-day turnaround. This is a 4 to 6 month process,
    not a hack.

  • You only want resume help. The resume is the smallest part of the work.

  • The nervous system or financial pieces feel like fluff. They aren't. They're the work.

  • $7,500 feels like a stretch rather than the smallest line item compared to what staying is costing you.

  • You want a guarantee that someone else can do this for you. They can't. You're going to do this. I'll guide it.

Context for the number. Average client income increase is $14K to $50K in year one. Some clients see $50K to $100K+ shifts. One client received a $50K base salary increase plus $10K in benefits within months of starting. That math compounds for the rest of his career.

If $7,500 feels like a stretch rather than an obvious investment, this isn't the right room yet. Most of my clients see this as the smallest line item compared to what staying stuck has cost them.

The pay-in-full bonus

When you pay in full, you receive two additional 1:1 calls on top of the program. Use them during the engagement for a high-stakes interview or negotiation. Or save them for your first 90 days in the new role, where most leaders need the most support.

Next Steps

If this sounds like where you are, here's how we move forward.

In 50 minutes, we'll talk about where you are, what's actually in the way, and whether this is the right fit. No pitch, no pressure. If it isn't aligned, I'll tell you.

Questions you're probably asking

How is this different from a career coach who helps me update my resume?

The resume is downstream of the real problem. Most senior leaders don't need a better resume. They need to regulate, articulate what they've actually built, and decide where they want to go next. The resume falls out of that work, not the other way around.

What if I don't know yet whether I want a new role, a different industry, or my own business?

Most clients arrive here. Narrowing the vast field of "what could be next" to the three to five paths that actually fit you is part of the first 30 days. Some clients pivot to a mission-aligned role. Some quietly build something on the side over time. The work helps you see which one you actually want without rushing the decision.

Will I have time for this on top of my current job?

Sessions are bi-weekly, about an hour. Most clients tell me the work gives them time back, because regulation reduces the firefighting that's eating your week.

Can I get this reimbursed by my employer?

Many of my clients do. I provide an HR letter that documents the engagement for reimbursement. Some companies pay direct, some reimburse, some don't. I'll help you figure out which lane yours is in.

What if I'm not ready to leave my job yet?

This isn't a "quit immediately" program. Plenty of clients use it to stabilize where they are while building toward the move. Sometimes the move turns out to be internal. Clarity doesn't require an immediate exit.

Is there a guarantee?

No, and that's intentional. This work requires you to show up. What I can tell you is that I don't take clients who aren't a fit. If I don't think we're aligned on the discovery call, I'll say so.

Is this 1:1 or a group?

Fully 1:1. No cohorts, no group calls, no curriculum to keep up with. Built around your timeline and your situation.
